Wild orange trees growing through the forests of Kashmir.
Deep in the forests of Kashmir, orange trees grow where no one planted them. Wild and unhurried, their fruit catches light even in the densest canopy, vivid against the pine and mist.
This series came out of an expedition through the highland woodland, where the oranges kept appearing without warning. No orchards, no cultivation, just fruit scattered through the forest as if it had always been that way.
Every frame was shot in natural light, at whatever hour the forest allowed. The goal was simple: show the place as it is.
